Have you ever visited a place where you feel like you just can’t get enough of?!

Porto is the city for me. It will put a spell on you conjuring up a nostalgic feeling inside of you. It is known for being a picturesque riverside city. From the romantic Ribeira to getting lost in the narrow cobblestone alleyways. Explore the rustic charms of this UNESCO-listed city one photo at a time. Below you’ll find some instagrammable hot spots.

I’ve grouped them by colorful places off the beaten track and the popular hot spots around Porto. You’ll find the coordinates for these hidden gems. For the popular hot spots, it is easily googleable :).

Best Views of Porto

There is saying in Porto, “The only good thing in Vila Nova de Gaia is the view towards Porto.” Here, you really can’t get a bad view when you are alongside the riverfront. Below are some of my favorite spots to catch a view of Pretty Porto.

  • Upper Deck of the Ponte de Dom Luis I Bridge
  • *Jardim do Morro  (Once you cross the upper deck you’ll find this park in Vila Nova de Gaia)
  • The Rooftop of Porto Cruz (Vila Nova de Gaia)
  • The Yeatman Hotel (Vila Nova de Gaia)
  • Porto Cathedral (Sé) Square (on the Porto side)
  • Rooftop of Guindalense – Here you’ll find cheap drinks with a superb view from the Porto side
  • Jardim do Palácio de Cristal gardens (on the Porto side)
  • Miradouro Ignez (on the Porto side)
  • *Parque das Virtudes (on the Porto side)
